Note on barriers and accessability at the CSD Göttingen 2022
We strive to recognise barriers at the CSD, to actively reduce them or to prevent them from arising in the first place. Unfortunately, this is not always possible. We want to point out the barriers at the CSD here, and show where we have made an effort to remove them.
Information on barriers at the CSD demonstration:
- It is possible to ride the demonstration with a wheelchair. There are no physical barriers for wheelchairs on the demo route.
- The demo route is 3 kilometres long.
- There are no guidance systems for people with visual impairments on the demo route.
- Loud music will be played at some points on the demonstration.
- People should keep their distance during the demonstration. Nevertheless, it can happen that people come closer.
- Many people come together at the demonstration. It can sometimes get crowded.
- People do not have to wear a mask at the demonstration (but we ask that they do).
- Speeches and announcements at the demonstration are usually in German.
- Speeches and announcements at the demonstration can be difficult to understand.
Information about barriers at the street festival:
- You can come to the street festival with a wheelchair.
- A barrier-free toilet is available at the CSD street festival.
- The speeches are available on paper. Ask us for it at the stage. Unfortunately, for financial and organisational reasons, the speeches cannot be translated into sign language.
- There are only a few seating options at the CSD Street Festival.
- Loud music will be played at the street festival.
- People are supposed to keep their distance at the street festival. Nevertheless, it can sometimes get crowded.
- Many people come together at the CSD.
- People do not have to wear a mask at the street festival (but we encourage visitors to wear a mask).
- Speeches and announcements at the street festival are usually in German.
- Speeches and announcements at the street festival can be difficult to understand.
